For this private residential project in Miami, Florida, we designed and built a luxurious hybrid sauna that seamlessly combines traditional sauna features with modern infrared technology. This custom-built sauna was created to offer an exceptional wellness experience that enhances both comfort and style.
Key Features:
Western Red Cedar in 1x2 Slats: The sauna is crafted from high-quality western red cedar in 1x2 slats, chosen for its natural beauty, rich color, and soothing aroma. The slatted design not only creates a visually appealing aesthetic but also promotes optimal airflow and a comfortable sauna experience.
Infrared Emitters for Hybrid Functionality: We incorporated infrared emitters into the sauna, transforming it into a hybrid sauna that combines the benefits of traditional dry heat with the therapeutic advantages of infrared heat. This feature offers a customizable experience, allowing users to choose between both heating methods based on their preference.
Closed Benches with Skirt: The sauna includes closed benches with skirts, offering a traditional and elegant look. This design choice provides ample seating while maintaining a clean, streamlined aesthetic that enhances the overall sophistication of the space.
Indirect Lighting from Cove Ceiling, Backrest, and Benches: Soft, indirect lighting is integrated into the cove ceiling, backrest, and two benches. The ambient glow creates a calming atmosphere that enhances relaxation, while also highlighting the beauty of the wood and overall design.
Oversized Harvia Cilindro Heater: To ensure optimal heating performance, we installed an oversized Harvia Cilindro heater. Known for its powerful and consistent heat output, the Harvia Cilindro provides a superior sauna experience, ensuring a perfect temperature for both traditional and infrared use.
